Halloween Votives and slightly bigger candle holders
I saw this neat project on Skip to my Lou's website. http://www.skiptomylou.org/2008/10/10/halloween-votives/
Addie and I made a few on Saturday and Sunday. You need some small jars or bigger jars as we used, wrapping tissue paper or crepe paper, and some mod podge. Here is Addie putting Mod podge on the jar.

Lights on (there are 2 not pictured)

Lights off!

More creativity
Yesterday was a creative day for Addie and me. I did a couple of more projects that I will post later this week. Addie decided that she wanted to paint. We painted all the paper she had balled up and put in a bag.

No, that is not paint on Addie's face and arms. She decided to use a red marker to make whiskers on her face to be a kitty cat. Later she decided to mark her whole face, belly, arms, and legs. Then I caught her putting blue marker on her butt!!! I am glad we didn't have anywhere to go last night. Of course I wouldn't have let her do it if we did have somewhere to go..but I didn't tell her it was okay to color her butt blue. GOOFY GIRL!!!

This is her self portrait. She is turning into a big picture taker.

Don't cha
Today Addie was singing the Pussycat Doll's song, Don't cha. While this is probably not an appropriate song for a 4 year old to sing, it was kinda of cute. Her version went something like...
"bum bum bum bum bum bum bam bum bum..HOT LIKE ME...bum bum bum bum bum bam bum bum..HOT LIKE ME, HOT LIKE ME, HOT LIKE ME. She was humming the tune and then would sing "HOT LIKE ME."
Later I called Addie my honey pie. She told me to call her "rock star." She cracks me up!!!
Bill had the camera for over 5 days and took only 20 pictures while he was out of town. Most of them were of him in the car. Addie and I have had the camera back for 48 hours and we have taken over 180. Addie and I got the rest of the pumpkins and Halloween decorations out this weekend.

"Give Your Self a Present" Challenge
I found this challenge on Stacy Julian's blog: http://stacysbigpicture.typepad.com/altogether_too_happy/
Here are the "rules":
• Snap ten or twelve photos of your life right now. Or find recent photos that you've already taken
.• Compile these photos in one of these super-cute Bazzill Mono-Mini albums or some other small album
• Keep or carry this album with you, tucked in your purse or desk drawer for one full year.
• Promise to glance through the album every time you stumble upon it or pull it out.
• On October 1st, 2009, create a scrapbook page about your experience.
I plan to do this once my husband returns on Friday with the camera. He is out of town this week for work and he took the camera. I'll post my mini album after I complete it.

soccer game and IKE
Addie had her first soccer game yesterday morning. She did well for her first time. Pop (my FIL) and Paw-paw (my dad) were both there for her game.

Last night we survived Ike. We had some more limbs fall. A couple hit the house but did not puncture the roof thank goodness. We slept in the living room because we were afraid of the tree limb coming through the roof. Needless to say we didn't get much sleep. Thank goodness we did NOT lose power this time.
This week was a busy week. We had a death in the family. My great uncle passed away early Tuesday morning. He had a heart attack. He lived in Dallas TX but he wanted to be bury here. We had lots of family from out of town. It was nice seeing my dad's first cousins but not under these circumstances.
Also, my friend's daughter had two biopsy done this week. She does have cancer and will start treatment the end of this week. Please continue to keep little Peighton in your prayers.
Lastly, don't leave your camera lying around Addie. You may end of with this. Like father, like daughter. Addie's daddy is bad about taking pictures like this too!
